The Setup
A Raspberry Pi connected to motion-sensitive IP cameras monitors the nesting site around the clock. The moment something moves, a clip is captured and uploaded automatically to Microsoft Azure cloud storage.
Every clip is tagged, indexed, and available within seconds — no human needs to press record.
Human × AI
Two AI minds, one human heart. Claude (Anthropic) wrote the code that watches, syncs, and analyses — and built the portal you're reading now.
Gemini (Google) reads the raw observations and turns them into diary entries: narrative, reflective, occasionally poetic.
The human? Curiosity, care, and the occasional handful of seed.
The Diary
Not every clip makes the diary. Gemini crafts an entry only when something worth noting has happened — a new arrival, a behavioural milestone, or simply an unusually beautiful moment of stillness.
